Our Strategy

Making Net Zero the Obvious Choice

Every company in the UK can support their employees on their journey to Net Zero by offering salary sacrifice as an employee benefit. To encourage widespread adoption, it needs to be a ‘no brainer’. That’s why Net Zero Benefits costs nothing to set up and run, protects employers if an employee leaves, and most importantly, is easy to implement with 5 star customer service.

Net Zero Benefits is here to break down barriers. By empowering others to make sustainable choices, we can speed up efforts to tackle climate change.

By working together, we can achieve our Net Zero goals much faster.

About us

Our Story

Illustration of a silver car driving on a yellow path through a green forest with three trees. The trees have black lines representing traditional fuel benefits, and the background includes blue clouds and a white sky. The logo in the upper left corner reads 'NET ZERO BENEFITS' with a green stylized 'C'.

Net Zero Benefits began with The Electric Car Scheme - born out of our founder Tom Eilon’s frustrating experience trying to lease an electric car when he moved back to the UK. Despite a government scheme designed to make EVs more affordable, the best deals were only available to big businesses. That didn’t sit right.

So, we built a better way. One that made it easy for smaller companies to offer electric cars as a benefit, unlocking the same tax savings and best-in-market deals for everyone. Today, The Electric Car Scheme is the UK’s leading salary sacrifice scheme for electric cars - trusted by thousands of employers, and recognised with awards across HR, Automotive, and Sustainability sectors.

But this is just the start.

Net Zero Benefits exists to take things further - tackling the high upfront costs that hold people back from switching to low-carbon tech. We’re expanding our product range beyond cars, so more households can access clean energy, heating, and charging solutions through salary sacrifice.

Together, we can make net zero the obvious choice - not just for a few, but for everyone.

Our Goal

Purpose

We believe that each person wants to make choices to achieve a Net Zero future. They are limited by information, access, price and complexity - this is slowing down progress globally.

Vision

To create a ‘no brainer’ decision for everyone to transition to Net Zero, at an affordable cost.

Mission

Establish ourselves as the obvious choice of company to support people through their transition to net zero. Do this by making it easy, affordable, and simple for customers to say ‘Yes’ to making a change. Creating “win-win-win” scenarios for the planet, our customers, and our business.

If we do this, we will avoid over 1,000,000 tonnes of CO2 by the end of 2025 (by delivering more than 50,000 new electric cars).

Our Values

  • One team

Win & lose together - no blame

  • Care for the customer (& each other)

    Be open and transparent

  • Equal in opportunity

Value diversity and respect each other

  • Reach for the stars

Be bold in your ambition and think positively
