International expansion is a key pillar of our growth strategy, and Germany represents a natural first step. With a tax system closely aligned to the UK’s and Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) rates fixed until 2030, it offers regulatory clarity and long-term product viability. The market is also significantly larger, with around 6 million private vehicle transactions per year, making it 30% bigger than the UK.

Despite its size, the German market is underdeveloped in salary sacrifice for cars. 88% of the workforce is not eligible for company cars, which presents an untapped target market ready for a salary sacrifice solution. Through Cycle-to-Work schemes, there’s already strong consumer awareness of salary sacrifice products. However, current offerings are fragmented and largely consultant-led, giving us a first-mover advantage with a structured, tech-enabled leasing solution.

Our international expansion is being led by Dr. Tassilo Wanner, Managing Director International, who is well-connected in the German mobility and business space. His experience and network, position us to rapidly build trust, drive adoption, and scale effectively in a high-potential market.

How does it work?

Net Zero Choices makes it cheaper and easier than any other option, by leveraging the existing UK product in the German market. Salary sacrifice makes this possible, allowing employees to save 20-40% on any electric car by reducing your salary in exchange for an electric car as a benefit. Cars are typically the second largest expense item, and through salary sacrifice this expense is significantly reduced, breaking down the barrier to entry for electric vehicles.
